ADMISSIONs 2025-26
The admissions for the academic year 2025-26 are now open for classes 3 to 9 and class 11. The admissions test and interactions will be conducted in person on the school campus at Rajghat, Varanasi. The age for admissions to class 3 should be at least 7 years & 4 months and at most 8 years & 3 months as of 1st April 2025. RBS is primarily a residential school. where we have been offering the option of day scholar status for new admissions to classes 3, 4 and 5 only, but starting from the current academic session, 2025-26, we are offering day scholar status in classes 6 to 8 also but only for girls. Day scholars (boys) admitted to classes 3-5 will have to become boarders from class 6 onwards. Day Scholars (girls) admitted in classes 6 to 8 in session 2025-26 will have to become boarders from grade 9 onwards. The details of the admission process are provided below. We request you to read the whole process prior to taking any action.

2) Download and print the online admission application form from the link below, answer the questions and get the form signed by both parents (where available). The form can be filled out either by typing or by writing by hand. Once done, the scan copies of the following must be sent to our email ID office@rajghatbesantschool.org.
a) The filled and signed application form to be scanned in one pdf file
(candidates for class XI to mention the stream/subject choices along with the
admission application form).
b) Latest available mark sheet (internal assessment or Board certificate)
c) Copy of confirmation (or screenshot) of payment of registration fee
d) Copy of Aadhar Card
e) Copy of the Date of birth certificate
We request you to carry the original application form when you visit the campus for the admission test.
3) Email invitations will be sent for the admission test/interactions to the shortlisted candidates on their parents’ registered email address well in advance.
4) Attend the offline test/interactions on the date given in the email. Testing will be conducted on our campus at Rajghat Besant School, Rajghat Fort, Varanasi – 221 001. Students must be accompanied by their parents for the test. Rajghat is well connected by rail, air and road. Nearby railway stations are Varanasi Junction/Cantt. (BSB ), Varanasi City (BCY), Kashi (KEI), Benaras (BSBS) & Mughalsarai (DDU). The Lal Bahadur Shastri International airport at Babatpur is around 22 kilometers away.
5) The assessment process includes tests and individual interactions with children along with their parents. All Students except class XI will be assessed for basic proficiency in Mathematics and English. For Class XI admissions, students will be assessed on the three elective subjects that the candidate would like to take up for study. At the school’s discretion children up to class IX may also be tested for their knowledge of Hindi, since they may have to take it up as their second language as per CBSE norms.
6) The result of the admission test will be intimated to the parents through e-mail in a few weeks. Selected applicants should proceed with the remaining admission formalities including payment of fees within the stipulated time. Non-payment of fees within the stipulated time may lead to cancellation of the offer. The new session will start in the first week of April 2025.

Languages offered in Rajghat Besant School: Rajghat Besant School is a residential, co-educational and non-sectarian, with English as the medium of instruction. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. Please note that we offer the following languages: English, Hindi & Sanskrit. English is the first language. Student has to study Hindi as second language and Sanskrit as third language from classes 6 to 8. Classes 9 & 10 have to study English as first language and either Hindi or Sanskrit as second language. Classes 11 & 12 have to study only English.

Admission test:
