There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination and finish with education. The whole of life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning.

Arts
Students are encouraged to express their feelings through art thus providing an outlet for their creativity.
The school attempts to bring together the best of local talent inherent to Varanasi and a reputed team of artists from venerable institutions like Shanti Niketan. From time to time, we bring in Resource persons from Universities and Industry in the areas of performing arts, music, films & play and hand crafts. Students are encouraged to express their feelings through art thus providing an outlet for their creativity.
The areas covered are tie and dye, batik, clay-modeling, pottery, graphic art, needle craft, paper craft, macramé, and other skills. Music and dance have dedicated teachers who also actively encourage themed events from time to time.
Sports
The focus is on intensity as opposed to winning the race- each child should do to his or her best ability.
A body that is dull cannot carry an alert mind. The basic landscape of the RBS campus inculcates physical exercise, be it in the long walks to class under greenery or the walk on the k-trail along river Ganga. Every day starts with exercise in the morning with more vigorous regime that follows in the evening. The focus is on intensity as opposed to winning the race- each child should do to his or her best ability. The school has facilities for football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis and tennis. We utilize the services of Resource persons from time to time to provide specialized coaching. The school hosts an annual event in which our rural school too participates. The two days event remain etched in the memory of children for a lifetime.
Community Engagement
The RBS campus is endowed with opportunities for students to be exposed to rural way of living, farms and dairy. Our students also co-participate in sports events with the rural school and collaborate on joint projects. The school grows organic grains, vegetables, pulses and dairy feed on our fertile land of about 80 acres close to Ganga. Children visit the farms regularly along with our farmers and teachers to understand agriculture. They also work from time to time in our dairy where the school owns about 80 cows supplying high quality milk for the entire school. We are expanding our rural engagement model in partnership with NGOs that will provide rich experience to our students.
Field Trips
The trips are carefully planned to ensure that children set learning objectives, gain a lived experience in an alien setting, engage socially and measure learning outcomes.
Field Trips are another important component of our education, with each class setting itself specific learning objectives as appropriate to the age. Using public transport, living frugally and interacting with different sections of society are some experiences that students gain through these programs. The trips are carefully planned to ensure that children set learning objectives, gain a lived experience in an alien setting, engage socially and measure learning outcomes. In the last year alone, children have been on field trips hosted by notable NGOs like Development Alternatives, Navdanya, Barefoot College and Tarun Bharat Sangh. The school also regularly organizes local trips to Varanasi events like music festivals, art galleries, labs and landmarks. Weekend cycle trips are events that children look forward to as it combines sports with fun.
